I went to Benson's serveral time as a young child, we took our daughter there when she was 5 yrs old in the early 80's. So sad, great memories!!!

Okay, every time I hear Donna Summers "on the radio" I think of Bensons. Am I the only one who remembers in the early 80's, before the park would open in the morning, Bad Girls or Hot Stuff would blast over the PA system? Memories.

Does anyone remember ... when visiting the Old Woman of the Shoe if a cast member portrayed the Old Woman or if there was a mannequin at the display?

Hi Lee, I've got one of the frogboats and have been working to restore it. The steering mechanism has been replaced with all stainless steel so it will never rust again. The Friends of Benson Park, Inc. will be at Benson Park tomorrow Friday April 20th from 2 to 5pm in front of the old Elephant Barn offering Ice cold bottled water, Snacks, Benson Park hats & shirts for sale all helping to raise funds for Benson Park and opening The Benson's Wild Animal Farm Museum.

My son went there with his preschool the day my daughter was born, May 24, 1984. She was born 3 months early, so it was a big deal, but a bunch of parents got together and said he should still go. He loved it. We tried to go back on her 3rd birthday but discovered it had closed.

Took my kids today to share my love and memories of Bensons. I was very impressed with how wonderful it looks. We had a lot of fun!
