Ran into someone from Nashua the other day here in Colorado and I asked her about Benson's Wild Animal Farm and all I got was a "deer in the headlights" look. We moved away from New England many many years ago and remember many a day trip with my four brothers and parents from Southbridge MA.... (more)

My grandmother and grandfather are both pictured in these photos. It's very cool to see them someplace else other than my scrap books. They both trained big cats and bears. I also have other photos to see if anyone would like to see. Their names are Joe and Charlotte Walsh.

Watching the elephants walk by for their daily swim is one site I wish I had been there to see !

That they were able to hang out in the pond like real elephants must of been wonderful for them !

I am 53 years old and still have many fond memories of Bensons wild animal farm. It was a very sad day when I learned of its closing. I thought where will I make fond memories with my children. The Gorilla, monkeys, and watching the elephants walk by for their daily swim, will never be... (more)

Im only 12 years old, i really want to go to the park. My dad used to come here as i kid. He said "I made me cry when i heard bensons closed."

Hello Kathy, The former parks PROPERTY reopened to the public Memorial Day 2010, the old amusement park & Zoo has never reopened and is part of history and wonderful memories. My daughter and her husband have just arrived in the Boston area as a complete surprise. My questions are 1. Are the ammusements still running. And question @2 is for the animals and the ability ? Are the animals out or are they hone!

Cheryl- Tough to really say but, I would like to believe I 'struck a chord of familiarity'...at least. Willy couldn't be in a better place. The remaining other elephants are in great places also. Though, I haven't seen them since the day they left my care. Thanks.
