There is a bensons train for sale on Craigs list. It would nice if it could be restored and displayed at the park.

I would think that even Bensons Animal trainers would be anti circus.

If they loved the animals they wouldn't support the behaviors associated with the circus.

Reunion for former Benson Wild Animal Farm employees and their family members will be held July 30th (Sat.) 12:00PM - 5PM at Benson Park in Hudson, NH. It will be "an old-fashion" picnic. Theresa: the Reunion starts at 12 noon til 5pm. I should have baloons and signs directing to where I will be set up. Which will be down at the A frame. Can't wait to meet you and your sister. Cindy

I worked there under the name I just gave from the time I think I was 13 till I think that I was in early to mid 20s. My sister Jackie Allison also worked there. She was a stand boss (as they were called then) for stand one which was the one at the top of the hill where they cooked hot dogs and served drinks, etc. back side of the gift shop. I was at stand 4 which was to the side of swan lake where I cooked hot dogs and also served drinks, Ruby Jameson was my stand boss. I need to know the time of the reunion so I can let my sister know as well maybe she will go down with me. Can't wait to see everybody there that I might know. I also worked the gift shop outside of the elephant barn, it was called the carosel I believe then now you have a ticket booth there instead. other stands I worked on are the A frame, the gift shop at the main entrance and the one outside the main entrance. I remember the day Tony got loose I cried and would not come out of the back room at stand 4 until Mr. Crowly gave the ok that he was back in his cage, I think Tony was the only animal there that put fear in me. Talk to you there I hope to see you.

Dear Theresa, the Reunion is for anyone who worked at the Park from the time it opened in 1926 thru 1987 when it closed. So Yes, this Reunion is for you. Please come and bring pictures if you have any and all the memories and stories you have. what years did you work and what department.

I was wondering if this reunion on July 30 was for the workers of today or if it is also for workers from when it was Benson' Wild Animal Farm. I use to work there for many years when I was younger. Some of the best memeroies I have as a child. Please let me know thank you for posting the memo on this.
Also would like to know about the dog park did not find one in my travels there today.

I'm Kristi Parker aka Bernard "Rusty" W. Parker III....I am the Transgender Granddaughter of May Kovar & Fred "Curly" Schafer, and I'm on the Search for more information and history of my biological grandfather...such as who his parents were, his grandparents, and if possible if he had any other children besides my Mother Sandra June Schafer...who was adopted by David Joseph Kleindienst & Margaret Beecher Kleindienst...after the death of my biological Grandmother May Kovar....can anyone please help me...so I can give my mother a belated Birthday Present on this day her 65th.Birthday...thank you...!!!.
