It doesn't cost for the park but if you are having a group of people, you need to fill out a Benson Park Usage form and submit it to the Highway Dept. (886-6018).

As of 22 March 2017 at the former BWAF:
Underground utilities construction to begin SOON.
Next time you visit the park you may notice an area near the Elephant Barn and the old Office staged with construction materials.
Construction of underground utilities will be taking place soon for the betterment of the park and enjoyment of its guest as approved by voters.
First will be trenching for the sewer with other utilities to come after. Some work will be performed by the respective utility companies other work such as sewer will be performed by the Town of Hudson New Hampshire Highway Department.
Work will be ongoing with utility work ultimately extending down to the " Gorilla House " / Playground area.
When The Friends of Benson Park, Inc. Benson Park store opens for the season they aim to remain open during construction as long as safety permits and outside times of electrical service disruptions that will be out of their control.

The BWAF Facebook page will be updating during the construction process for alerts
( www.facebook.com/bensons.waf )

Thank you for your understanding and patience during these parkwide improvements.

I am trying to locate a park that was in New Hampshire in the 70's and 80's!
My son called the place Dancing skeletons! Does anyone know what this could have been?? I remember a building with the phantom of the opera playing an organ! Thanks for any help!

We need your support if you have not voted already and if you have don't forget you can vote daily until Thursday at midnight.

https://www.spiritofcommunity.com/?page_id=279

The contest for $1,000 is nearly over and The Friends of Benson Park, Inc. have over 269 votes thanks to all your help, they still need more to stay ahead before voting closes tomorrow. Unlike the other two non-profits the FoBP get no local, state or federal funds or major support.

Don't forget the sooner the building work is completed the sooner all the proceeds from the store and museum will go directly back to the Town of Hudson New Hampshire for park maint and improvements.

As a teen i started working there, my first job there was a ride operator....I had a lot of good memories there, was there for a couple of seasons, one of my favorite animals then was a black panther named Ralph who as a cub was the runt of the litter and was rejected by his mother......he grew there and was as gentle as could be....those days are well missed.......there was an employee by the name of Pam Knight who was my trainer when i first started there, we became very close friends then....If anyone knows her or of her please message me its been many years .....she would know me by the name Ed McMahon ( Eddie )

I miss this place so much. I use to bring my kids there every spring this was a common practice for us. Being a single parnet I was limited money packing a lunch and spending the day there was a big treat. We have little here in New Hampshire for our little kids. to bad we couldn't bring it back. I have walked through there recently and had great memories now my kids have grown and gone on. I just wish it could of been there for my grandkids what a shame

Love the park. warning though: There is a tree on the blue trail parallel to the dog park that the top has been snapped and is hanging over the walkway. It's an accident waiting to happen.
